Missiontrek to Develop ResearchAgent: client billing to track and allocate research costs.

Boston, MA - Missiontrek today announced plans to develop tracking software designed to manage and recover costs associated with internet research resources.

"Firms spend thousand of dollars each year for on-line subscriptions, said Kirk Fackre, US VP Sales & Alliances. "Amazingly few of these on-line vendors provide an effective billing mechanism. We're positioned to help law firms understand how their research dollars are spent, and to recover these costs where applicable."

Missiontrek is working with two prestigious law firms on a detailed specification for the research tracking application, tentatively called "ResearchAgent. According to Fackre, "we have found kindred spirits in Tom Fleming (Director of Library Services at Jeffer, Mangels, Butler & Marmaro LLP) and Linda Fowlie (Director of Library & Records Services at Akerman Senterfitt). "We expect to find many more once the word gets out."

"The ResearchAgent specification is nearing completion, but it's not too late to accept feature requests", said Fackre. "We see this as a dynamic process, and expect that ResearchAgent will continue to evolve as the suggestions come in."

Missiontrek founder and CEO John Moetteli adds "ResearchAgent is a smooth and logical fit into the Cartagio product family. Firms will now be able to choose from a complete menu of research productivity solutions, ranging from cost recovery to collaboration, and from productivity to knowledge capture."
